Two thoughts

1). We are to take up our cross and follow Jesus, but we are also to do the following:

28"^(AM)Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.......

30"For ^(AP)My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

2.) And we are to live a life in a manner worthy of the gospel. But the gospel finds joy and freedom in being absolutely unworthy.

I love the challenges and ironies of the Bible. Makes me rely on God when I want to rely on myself.

Father God almighty, thank you for truth, let it permeate my heart, in the name of your Gospel bringing Son,
