The Monies

As Dave and I walked down Lake Street approached us at 11:30 asking for two bucks for the bus, I was faced with a decision. Do I even listen to this story? Make your own money to waste on whatever, not mine. You don't deserve this. You're not very trustworthy.

BUT... then again in the big scheme of things, all of those things could be said of me.

Granted, she was not in the clearest state of mind, and a little disoriented as to where the bus actually was, but I should pray that God might enlarge my Grinch-like heart.

In the end, she muttered something about 'what are you, my ... dad? since I wouldn't give her the money directly, and only to the bus driver. This was probably the best thing for her, since the money wasn't going to the bus. She didn't know where the bus was. My heart wasn't in the right place though. And Im too concerned I might be burned more than Im concerned she might hurt herself.

SO be innocent as doves wise as something else and watch out for the wolves. Jesus lived out what it means to be taken advantage of. Tough thing to think through. Gotta try though.
