MJ

One of the most tragic lives, and deaths. Michael Jackson was one of the most widely recognized figures in the world, whether you knew a lot about his music and background or only heard through the grapevine of his eccentric escapades, he was a cross-generational figure indeed.

Tragedy as he was born in the spotlight with performances fueling record selling demands. His solo efforts only furthered his (obligation) to perform, and at this he was rightfully crowned king.

His pursuit of fulfillment in re-creating a childhood was quite ominous in his purchase and design of Neverland, the befriending of Bubbles the chimp and questionable relationships with younger (boys) are all great examples of misplaced efforts to fill what his star status and parental situation never satisfied.

What a lonely, empty life with financial, family, relational, public and other issues. Vitiligo catalyzed the downward spiral of his physical appearance of a man once quite handsome.

Finally, what a deeply sorrowful man on a spiritual level. He spend so many of his millions of dollars trying to fill a dissatisfied hole in his heart with all kinds of unsatisfying things. And dare I say, waste of talent. Perhaps one of the most influential dancing and singing performers, I wish there was good reason to think the King of Pop were resting in peace....
