Surprise

Today was a crazy Friday.  I was reasonably crabby, and admittedly so, as a result of not going to bed this week at an appropriate hour.  And when I get really tired, its hard to take things seriously.  I was kind of daydreaming in and out of work as I answered the phone and completed mindless tasks like a robotic car assembly drone.  Then I thought about the giant winged luminescence of hope for the city.

That's right.  Batman.  The completely arbitrary thought came from nowhere and was quickly interrupted by another phone call.  I found myself hesitate after a typical greeting 'Fairview Children's Clinic.... this is Batman....'

It kind of just slipped out.  But the mom didn't really believe what she had heard.  Because she didn't laugh or pause.  Or she just knows her son was in good, albeit mysterious, hands.
