In India, guest quarters, Westernized hotels and the houses of political officers are the main buildings with heated water. So on a camping trip, we took cold showers and were QUICKLY reminded of our visit.
But there is something enjoyable of it. You don't enjoy it the same as a cascade of soothing hot water after a long day, but your skin doesn't get all dry and itchy and make it harder to fall asleep.
I want to enjoy life as you can enjoy a cold shower. Living not for the moment, but not neglecting the moment entirely.

I had hot showers in India- thanks to the water sitting in my tank on the roof all day. Nothing like coming home after a long hot day and then only having scalding hot water.
Thanks for the thought about living both in the moment and yet not for it.
